Designing the invisible layer
of luxury wellness spaces
the felt difference between
how a space looks and how it actually lands in the body.

The
Idea
Every luxury wellness space has
the visible layer — architecture, materials, treatments.
Every luxury wellness space has
the visible layer — architecture, materials, treatments.
Then there is the layer beneath.
The temperature of a welcome. The scent that shifts
as you enter the spa floor. The weight of a door, the sound
that closes a session.

It’s why one property lingers in memory while another
simply passes through.

That layer is what we design.
What
We Do
A consulting practice for luxury hotels, spas, and wellness brands.
We design the invisible layer — the part of a space
that decides whether a guest carries it with them or lets it fade.
We work with you on-site to find where the experience quietly drops, then design those moments deliberately:
Pacing — how guests move through the space
and how each transition lands.Ritual — turning treatments into something
deeply felt.Atmosphere — light, sound, and scent that settle the nervous system.
The result is a space guests feel on arrival, remember after they leave, and want to return to.
We don't redesign your space — we design how it feels to move through it.

The feeling is designed
If you are shaping or refining a luxury wellness
experience and want it to land as deeply as it
looks, let’s begin the conversation.

What lies
beneath the
surface
Most guests cannot explain why one property stays with them and another does not. They mention the treatment or the view. What they’re actually describing is quieter: the pacing, the atmosphere, the precise details that disappear into feeling.
Sota Atelier exists to design that
layer with intention.
the lens
It started in 2018 in Miami. In the middle of a
high-pressure corporate role at UBS, struggling with anxiety I couldn’t name, a single healing session shifted something in my body I still didn’t have language for.
That was the beginning.
While supporting ultra-high-net-worth clients, I learned what it means to truly hold someone at the highest level. Outside of work,
I went deeper into holistic practices — meditation,
breathwork, sound healing, and ancestral traditions.
In 2024 I completed my yoga teacher training and began curating wellness experiences. Teaching the closing practice at a retreat at Villa Bokeh in Guatemala made it clear: what I loved most wasn’t standing at the front of the room. It was designing the room itself.
Years spent as a guest in the world’s most considered wellness spaces — Four Seasons, Aman, Six Senses,
and others across four continents — sharpened this understanding. The difference that lingers is never just
the architecture. It’s the invisible layer guests feel but
cannot name.
That attention is the foundation of every engagement
at Sota Atelier.
